us-expat.tax
us-expat.tax is a professional tax practice specializing in international cross-border taxation for individuals. We translate complex issues into simple, straightforward language that will enable you to make great decisions from a tax perspective.

We have clients from 67 different countries and representation across the globe. All our tax professionals live overseas, in the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, India, South Africa and Australia. This helps us understand the nuances of foreign tax filings and their impact on your US tax return.
US CITIZENS
If you are a US citizen living and working outside the US you need expert tax advice. Many domestic US tax return preparers offer low fees for returns but simply do not have the requisite knowledge in international taxation. We can take you through the entire filing process, irrespective of how complicated your return is. With a combined 25 years of international tax preparation experience you can be sure you're in good hands.

If you are not declaring your foreign bank accounts and assets you could be exposed to penalties ranging from $10,000 upwards. Let us eliminate your exposure.

GREEN CARD HOLDERS
As a Green Card holder you are taxed on your worldwide income in the same way as US citizens. Your obligation to file a US tax return continues even in you live overseas for a few years. Whilst you have all the filing obligations of a US citizen (Forms 2555, 1116, 8938 etc), in certain circumstances you may not benefit from the same tax treaty provisions as US citizens.
We can make it easy - let us take away the stress of filing your tax return.
Foreign
nationals
if you are a nonresident alien engaged or considered to be engaged in a trade or business in the United States during the year or have other income from US sources, you are required to file a US tax return. The IRS considers you a nonresident alien if you are not a lawful permanent resident (Green Card Holder) and do not meet the substantial presence test based on your periods of presence in the US.

Let us help you file your 1040 NR and optimise your tax filing position.
